Mr. Krrish Chawla, the founder, and innovator of Breathify says the journey began when he was a child. Due to increased pollution in the country, Krrish experienced several respiratory issues, including inflamed lungs, while living in New Delhi, which ranks first on the list of the world's most polluted cities. To avoid this, Krrish had to use air purifiers all the time, which were very costly at the time. Krrish's enthusiasm as a science student motivates him to investigate the mechanisms of various equipment, and one day he chose to disassemble an air purifier, as a result, he realized that an air purifier is a relatively simple mechanism that consists mostly of a filter and a fan.
This began Krrish's quest of creating various prototypes, eventually reaching a total of 318 before settling on the most economically feasible model. Breathify aims to solve 5 problems the first being effectiveness. After calculating the air quality index, it produced a result that was superior to that of other well-known equipment. The invention was then patented and given the name 'Reverse Air' by Krrish. The second is environmental friendliness; Breathify devices are the only ones in the segment that are 95 percent plastic-free. The third point is that it is made in India; the fourth is the HEPA filter, which distinguishes the goods; and the final point is the price; Breathify is the most affordable air purifier on the market, with prices starting at only 4200₹. Breathify has some big names under its client lists such as the Ministry of Electronics, Delhi Gymkhana Club, and several offices.
Krrish was in school when Breathify was founded, so time management was a challenge for him, but he was determined to make pure air accessible to the masses, this allowed him to devote numerous sleepless nights to turning his vision into a reality. Krrish’s moment of winning was when Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO of Niti Ayog applauded him for his efforts. Breathify is a bootstrapped startup that has chosen not to seek outside funding.
Around 500 Breathify units were donated in the early stages of the project to persons living in vulnerable settings, such as schools, old age homes, and Covid hospitals. When Krrish demonstrated the utility of the devices with laser air quality index equipment, the audience got a firsthand look at how they work. This helped Breathify attain an audience in the initial stages. Breathify is distinguished by its usage of HEPA Filters, which are said to reduce airborne Coronavirus. Several organizations, including the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have emphasized the relevance of HEPA filters in reducing air pollution in nations like India. Breathify also has a 24-hour dispatch guarantee on all its filters.
Air purifiers will become a home need in the next years, expanding the market for Breathify while also assisting people in improving their health. Breathify's mission is to educate people about the dangers of air pollution and its long-term consequences. Breathify has to rely on digital marketing to raise brand awareness due to the low margins in the products. One of the most compelling reasons why consumers are gravitating toward Breathify is the brand's origin story.
